Navan Karate club

Navan Shotokan karate club was established October 2007 by Sensei Rhonda Balfe Hoban 5th Dan Black belt and is situated in St. Oliver Plunkett's National School in Navan .

In 2008 Navan SKC affiliated with the USKF Ireland attracted by its wealth of karate knowledge and professionalism. Sensei Rhonda Hoban has maintained excellent disciplines and respect to the art of Shotokan over the years at Navan SKC and teaches to all levels and abilities. Assisting instruction at Navan SKC since 2019 is her son Sensei Leon Hoban 2nd Dan Black Belt.

Training at Navan SKC is designed to challenge cognitive and motor-skills of all levels and abilities. Specific programs are designed to allow all athletes reach their maximum potential for grading and competing at National and International level. Members must train a minimum of twice weekly.

At Navan SKC there is a strong balance between family values and traditional karate, both are of great importance which have created a life long commitment for the Hoban family and their members.

Karate is a way of life not just a sport.
