Dojo Etiquette
The Dojo is a sacred place where we train ourselves physically and mentally
All Students must respect the Dojo and observe the following etiquette:

On entering the Dojo bow respectfully with “Oss”.

2.
Always address the instructor as “Sensei“ and never by name.

3.
Always arrive punctually for training.

4.
Always wear a clean white karate Gi to the Dojo.

5.
No shouting or using offensive language in the Dojo.
-
6.
If you are late for training kneel in “Mukuso“ position on instructors`s left awaiting admission to class.

7.
When acknowledged by the instructor bow “Oss“ and join the class according to your grade.

8.
When the instructor calls for training to begin line-up smartly facing the instructor.

9.
When training listen carefully and seriously to the advice given by the instructor.

10.
When you are training in the Dojo sit in the proper position, do not stretch your legs out, keep your hands on your lap.

11.
Train hard to improve your own standard and not to criticise your fellow students.

12.
Do not leave the class without asking permission from your instructor.

13.
When the instructor calls for “Mokuso“ (meditation) close your eyes and breath deeply from the lower stomach, concentrate on the tanden (lower abdomen) and try achieve total concentration.

14.
Always bow when leaving the Dojo.

15.
Always keep the Dojo clean and tidy.
